![]() ![]() On my 2017 iMac, web config doesn't work at all but I believe a few of Hikvision's cameras are configurable under MacOs. They aren't alone in that.įWIW, I now view my 8 Hikvision cameras and video intercom in High Sierra (10.13.6) using either iVMS-4200 or Security Spy but if I have to set up a new camera or change any config I have to fire up Parallels to do it - or borrow a Windows laptop. Once you have everything set up as you like, then you can shut down Parallels and use the Mac client for viewing - although Hikvision chose not to include the full feature set in the Mac version of iVMS-4200 and their support for MacOs generally leaves plenty to be desired. So if you want to use your Mac, be prepared to buy a copy of the excellent Parallels Desktop so that you can run Windows and IE in emulation. The problem we face is setting up and configuring Hikvision (probably all) IP cameras in MacOs - either in Hikvision's iVMS-4200 client software or in a web browser as the required web plugin is pretty much outlawed (across all platforms), albeit Internet Explorer in Windows still works. You can then just use a supported web browser for configuration and it will also allow you to use the Windows version of Hikvision iVMS 4200 software. It allows you to install a copy (or copies) of Windows and run it within app. Technomate do a unit for about £130 - you'll find one on Amazon.ģ - If you'd like to put it on your Mac, just install Parallels (£70 - free trial available). You'd need to have the wireless mouse in range of one of the TV's for control and there is a slight lag in the image. Depending on how you have this set up it can allow you to have the CCTV as a HD TV channel being able to view it on all your TV's. ![]() Couple this with a USB A male to female extension cable (up to 10m) and you can connect the receiver for a wireless mouse to that, keeping you in range for control.Ģ - Connect the HDMI output of the NVR to DVB modulator and insert this into your TV aerial system. To avoid being annoyed by fan noise from the NVR you can keep the NVR away from the TV and use a suitably long HDMI cable. For ongoing viewing of the system, if you'd rather not have an additional monitor directly connected to the system you have a couple of options:ġ - Connect the NVR to a spare HDMI on an existing TV. I forget which version of Safari was the last to work with the plugin but the free iVMS 4200 software for the Mac does not work very well and has some issues.įor configuration of your system I'd recommend that you set it up using a locally connected monitor rather than web browser. Hikvisions support for the Mac is pretty poor as you'll see from some of the posts on this forum. If my iMac is not compatible then its not a big issue I can connect a noddy monitor to the NVR. I have not yet purchased the Hikvision hardware yet and will await comment here - it would be great to utilise the Mac as opposed to having a monitor alongside it on the desktop. My 2009 iMac software, HDD, memory etc have been upgraded as far as possible and provides everything I want it to do.at the moment - OSX El Capitan 10.11.6 and Safari 11.1.2.ġ) the plug-in iVMS 4200 V1.02.02.02 is correct for my iMac?Ģ) the 8MP IP Camera DS-2CD2385G1-I which is a newer camera, is comparable with my iMac Given I have an iMac ideally I would like activate, view configure etc the cameras via Safari and whilst researching my hardware choice I by chance learnt of conflict with versions of Safari vs the relevant manufacturers plug-in. First time here, for my own domestic install I have decided on Hikvision hardware, 8MP IP Camera DS-2CD2385G1-I x 6 and an NVR unit which I haven't decided upon as yet.

We then concluded that, after the road traffic accident, our patient has had a posterolateral elbow dislocation associated with Galeazzi fracture. A new X-ray reported the reduction of the elbow, radius malunion and DRUJ dislocation ( Figure 2a and Figure 2b). The distal radio-ulnar joint (DRUJ) stress test and piano key sign were positive. In our examination, we have noted a stiffness of the left elbow (0/30˚/95˚), a limitation of the prono-supination with a forearm fixed in pronation 35˚, stiffness in wrist extension and a posterior protrusion of the ulnar head. The lack of clinical improvement motivated this consultation in our hospital on the. Because the patient did not want surgery for radius, it was decided to manage the fracture conservatively. Closed reduction of the dislocated elbow joint was immediately performed under sedation. The clinical and radiological assessment has concluded a posterolateral elbow dislocation associated with fracture of the left radius with no other lesions or neurovascular ( Figure 1). While this is a good idea in theory, when you're simulating fights to see how the game predicts they'd play out in real life, it results in some quite surprising upsets. ![]() This is likely an indication that developer EA Canada balanced the fighters to create more competitive bouts even with each fighter featuring different attributes and tendencies. However, regardless of the outcome, I noticed that very few fights were completely one-sided. ![]() Still, very few submissions were successful, perhaps a testament to the A.I. It certainly wasn't for lack of trying because sometimes even the most striking-focused fighters jumped guard to attempt guillotines in these simulations. In fact, even with grappling specialists, I was shocked at how few submission attempts succeeded. Each fight was scheduled for three rounds, except for the championship fight at the end, which could go five rounds.Īs the nearly 80 bouts played out, it quickly became apparent that EA Sports UFC 4 skews heavily in favor of third-round knockouts or technical knockouts. I then watched every fight as the A.I.-controlled combatants duked it out. The seeding is based on current ranking, though for some high-profile fighters who are in the process of changing weight classes (like Jon Jones or Cody Garbrandt), I had to plug them in where it made the most sense. Using the current official UFC rankings found on the promotion's website, I constructed eight-person tournament brackets featuring the highest-ranked fighters of each weight class (aside from women's featherweight, since there are no official rankings and EA Sports UFC 4 only has two active fighters from that division). We decided to find out for ourselves, using the best tool at our disposal: EA Sports UFC 4. Still, with other major promotions like Bellator and the Professional Fighters League experimenting with bracket-style tournaments, many fans wonder what would happen if UFC returned to its roots and hosted its own. The UFC has evolved and grown in a multitude of ways in the nearly three decades since that first event in Denver. In 1993, the Ultimate Fighting Championship burst onto the scene, pitting masters of different martial arts disciplines against one another in a bracket-style tournament. Days Gone has incredible atmosphere, thanks to keyboard+mouse, combat feels so much better than it ever did. ![]() Christ, just look at this article: I wrote the damn thing and I still can’t figure out what the hell I’m trying to say about the game. Given that the marketing campaign was weak (if not nonexistent), the only place gamers had to find out about Psychonauts was through annoyingly vague game reviews. No matter how enjoyable it is to play a game THIS imaginative, writing a review in which you use the phrase “ Psychonauts is a really original game” fifty times tells the reader absolutely nothing about what makes the game great, or if it’s even any fun. Similarly, Psychonauts is a hard game to write a review for. Because of BG&E syndrome, the game is stuck in a weird limbo: teens won’t play it, and those kids that do play it end up disliking it. Why You Haven’t Played It First and foremost, Psychonauts suffers from what I like to call Beyond Good and Evil syndrome: the graphics are too “kiddy” for most adult or teenaged gamers, and the gameplay is too original or inventive for children. Each mind level is beautifully detailed and really evokes the feeling of what a particular mental problem visually resembles: it’s hard to explain, but you may find yourself playing through a level and thinking, “Oh, so that’s what schizophrenia looks like.”Overall, each level of Psychonauts looks different, plays different, and feels different, in a totally good way: each world feels detailed and polished, and you can sense the amount of care that went into making each world look unique. One will have you sneaking around and wearing disguises, while another will be straight platforming, while another will be filled with bullfights and wrestling matches. Each character’s mind consists of a very large level with a very specific art style no two characters have a similar looking mind level, and, most of the time, no two levels even play the same way. After meeting these people, Raz can solve these problems for them by jumping into their minds. As you explore the camp, you’ll find people with severe mental problems–they’re paranoid, delusional, or obsessed with something from their past. And it’s these Mind Levels that really set Psychonauts apart from any other platformer you’ve ever played. In those two N64 games, you did most of your adventuring in specific worlds that branched off from the overworld in Psychonauts, you do just as much adventuring in the overworld as you do in the crazy levels that take place in the minds of others. You’ll collect psychic cards, scavenger hunt items, psychic graffiti, Indian arrowheads, ammo for your psychic blast…the list goes on.The jobs you do in the camp are sort of like the overworlds in games like Banjo-Kazooie or Mario 64, except integrated more gracefully. Collecting is done pretty much everywhere in the game one of the few universal critiques of Psychonauts is that there is too much collecting. Basically, Psychonauts has three gameplay aspects: collecting, camp jobs, and mind levels. If you’ve played those games before (and if you haven’t, what the hell is wrong with you), take the weird sense of humor, classic adventure gameplay, and off-the-wall characters, and then stick them into a platforming game. GameplayPsychonauts was designed by Tim Schafer, the man behind Grim Fandango and Full Throttle. ![]() This game is filled with more weird characters and situations than you can imagine: psychic secret agents pretending to be small children, a psychic detective that lives inside Raz’s brain who can only be summoned by waving bacon in front of Raz’s nose…I sound like a moron already. ![]() I’m being this vague for two reasons: (A), the story is little more than a scenario for Raz to meet interesting people and jump into their minds, and (B), getting any more specific would make me sound like a goddamn idiot. Stuff goes awry, people are kidnapped, and it’s up to Raz to save the day. The protagonist, Raz (short for Razputin), enters a psychic summer camp, where children are trained to become Psychonauts (psychic soldiers). StoryIsn’t really that important, to be honest. After the combined failures of Advent Rising and Psychonauts, Majesco lost 18 million dollars and its CEO immediately resigned.More on Majesco’s other failure after the jump. This week, the subject is Psychonauts, the game which pretty much did. Last week, I wrote about Advent Rising, Majesco’s first entry in a supposed sci-fi trilogy which actually ended up damn near sinking the entire company. |
